Gedcom to XML Converter This page allows you to upload your Gedcom file and will return an XML file. While not based on a standard, this is an opportunity to dabble with XML. If you are using a browser that can interpret XSLT stylesheets, the XML data will be displayed with links to spouses, parents, and children.

A link for testing and installing the MSXML parser for IE is provided. You'll need to restart your browser after the install. Once the parser is installed, the following sample should appear correctly:

To copy the output and run locally we found it necessary to download the family_tree.dtd and family_tree_big.xsl files and change to relative links. We also changed the extension from cgi to xml.
Only a part of the original Gedcom information is retained in the XML version.
